The need for Maroochy Neighbourhood Centre's services is growing rapidly each day & so is the financial cost required to operate this project. Each day, more Sunshine Coast individuals & families are feeling the pinch of rising food prices, rents, and utility bills and seeking support from the Maroochy Neighbourhood Centre.

However, to continue this great work, we are in desperate need of your support.

The One Roof Project provides over 150 meals on a Tuesday & Thursday evening, 50 lunches each week, food hampers, hot showers, storage lockers, Information and referrals, and phone and housing support. Other services include a Laundry Service in collaboration with Orange Sky Laundry, Community Nurse Outreach, NDIS support, Centrelink support, Mental Health Outreach, St Vinnies homelessness outreach, free professional haircuts every 6 weeks, and Barista made espresso coffee kindly donated by The Coffee Crew Sunshine Coast.

The One Roof project receives no Government funding and relies solely on the generosity of the community. Due to the rising costs of living, more families are seeking assistance ultimately impacting our finances to the point where we may have to reduce this much-used and needed service.

Maroochy Neighbourhood Centre is endorsed by the ATO as a Deductible Gift Recipient and all donations over $2.00 are not only 100% tax deductible they will help us continue to provide weekly meals and other essential services to some of our most vulnerable communities.

Become a fundraising ambassador.

It can be tough if you are new to the area, or have no one to call when you need some support.

Family Support Program is a home visiting service which provides practical and emotional support to local families experiencing difficulties. Family Support Program aims to help parents to feel more confident, help families connect with their community and help improve the bonds within a family.

Family Support Program has a Coordinator, Family Support worker and a team of trained volunteers.  

The volunteers visit families and provide assistance such as: 

· a listening ear

· information about services

· practical support during a time of change, eg: after a baby  is born, or a relationship has ended

·  help to develop new skills and  confidence

·  encouragement to set and reach  goals.

·  help to join an activity

Any family in our area  with children aged between 0-18 years is welcome to contact FSP regarding the service. The Coordinator will meet with the family to discuss the program & negotiate goals. We offer a service when the requests match the program objectives, and we have a suitable volunteer available.
